Terms

Version of 2 November 2026

storyworkshop.ai teaches through stories, pictures and voices made with AI, from what you ask for. These terms are what you agree to when you tick the box on the “Before you start” screen. They're in plain words on purpose.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. The site is invite-only: you need an invitation, and the account is for you alone. Credit on your account is given, not sold. It pays for the AI requests you make here and has no cash value.

The rules

Everything you ask for, type, upload or share here keeps to these:

  1. You're 18 or older.
  2. Nothing illegal, and nothing that helps someone do harm (weapons, drugs, crime, self-harm).
  3. Nothing sexually explicit. Nothing that sexualises or harms children, ever.
  4. No hate, harassment or threats, and no gore for its own sake.
  5. No real people: no characters, pictures or voices of real people, and no impersonation. Photos are for pets and other animals.
  6. Respect other people's work: no copies of existing characters or franchises, no living artist's style by name, and only upload what you have the right to use.

The site is PG-13: romance, flirting and suggestive humour are fine. “Nothing sexually explicit” means no sex scenes, no nudity and nothing written to arouse, and anyone in a romantic or suggestive moment is an adult. “Real people” includes famous people, people you know and yourself: characters are invented, and their voices are the AI services' stock voices, never copied from a recording of someone.

The AI services behind the site

Your requests are sent to these companies' AI models to be carried out, so their rules apply to what you ask for too:

Where their rules are stricter than ours, theirs apply. Which models the site uses may change.

AI makes mistakes

The Japanese, the explanations, the stories and everything else here are written by AI. They're usually right and sometimes wrong, so don't rely on them for anything important. Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or exam advice. The site is offered as it is, without promises that it will always be available or error-free.

What's yours

What you make here (your worlds, characters, stories and lessons) is yours to use for yourself. You let the site store it and process it, including sending it to the AI services above, to run the site for you.

Worlds can be shared. People you share a world with see what's in it: its notes, its characters, their pictures and voices. Your own lessons, stories, timeline and learning stay yours alone.

What's stored, and who processes it

  • Signing in: Google, which tells us your email address and the name on your Google account.
  • Storage: Supabase holds the database and files (what you make, what you've learned, your credit). Vercel runs the site.
  • AI requests: each one, with what came back and what it cost, is kept as a record, to run the site, show you your costs and check these rules are kept. The site's admins can see these records. The AI services above receive what each request needs, and handle it under their own policies; Venice keeps a copy of the clips it makes.
  • Photos of pages you send for reading help are read and not kept. Photos of pets, used to start a character, are kept with that character.

When something breaks the rules

We can refuse a request, remove something, or close an account that breaks these rules or the AI services' rules, without warning when it's serious.

Deleting your account

Ask the admin who invited you, and we'll delete your account and everything it owns. Worlds you shared go too, for everyone in them.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes and you're asked to agree again before you can make anything new.
